Diving off the coast of Newfoundland

A lifelong devotee to technical diving, German-born Ingo Vollmer started diving at the tender age 12. After working as a dive guide and instructor in Spain, France and Thailand he started his own business in Germany called MARLIN. The company develops, produces and distributes diving- as well as under water photographic equipment. His German based company also sells various Canadian made products on the German speaking markets.

Ingo is involved in many German and international film and photo productions and underwater expeditions. He has therefore been able to accumulate extraordinary pictures of the world under water. His Cape Breton based Dive Centre "MARLIN DIVING" is integrated in the "VIPI Lodge" on Janvrin's Island. This base has allowed Ingo to dive and document the waters around Atlantic Canada for more than 20 years. Here, he also guides tourists from all over the world to the "Emerald Sea". Today these waters are his favoured "playground". As a government approved dive instructor, boat captain and ANDI instructor trainer, Ingo is intimately familiar with all aspects of diving. Through his pictures he wants to show the beauty of extraordinary creatures, wrecks and habitats that are not commonly known among the public.
